The Company#
Lalee Innovations LLC is the current home of a technical consulting practice that Laurence A. Lee founded in Honolulu in 2008. The original entity, Lalee Consulting, operated for fifteen years before being succeeded by Lalee Innovations in early 2024 — formed during a period based in Arizona, registered there, and now operating back in Honolulu where it started.
The approach has not changed: deliver solutions that actually work in production, documented well enough that someone else can maintain them, and scoped honestly from the start.
Laurence A. Lee#
Laurence is a Cloud Platform Engineer and Technical Solutions Architect with 25+ years of experience delivering full-stack solutions across web, mobile, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
His background spans the full stack — from React and Angular front-ends to Ruby on Rails and Node.js back-ends, from containerized Kubernetes workloads to bare-metal Linux server administration. He has designed CI/CD pipelines, built observability stacks, managed infrastructure-as-code migrations, and rescued more than a few legacy systems that had outlived their original teams.
His independent practice ran continuously from 2008 until April 2021, when he joined Hawaiian Airlines as a Cloud Platform Engineer — four years of enterprise-scale work at one of Hawaii’s most recognized brands. In April 2022, he relocated to the Phoenix metro area to work from Hawaiian Airlines’ Tempe offices. He formed Lalee Innovations LLC in early 2024 while based there.
In May 2025, he returned to Honolulu to take on the role of Enterprise Architect Manager at American Savings Bank, supporting enterprise architecture governance, capabilities mapping, and requirements documentation for platform initiatives. He stepped down from that role in May 2026 and returned to independent consulting under Lalee Innovations.
His credentials include Microsoft Certified Enterprise Applications Developer (MCAD), and he has held certifications and hands-on production experience across AWS, Azure, and major DevOps toolchains.
He is based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Why “Innovations”#
The consulting practice that became Lalee Innovations has always been most useful at the intersection of existing systems and new requirements — the place where someone needs a real engineer who can assess a situation, prototype a path forward, and deliver something that holds up. The name reflects that orientation: not just maintaining what exists, but finding better ways to build what comes next.
If that sounds like what your project needs, get in touch.
